Morning all.

5.50 to London Euston from Birmingham New Street on an epic quest to retrieve the object of my desire...

Possibly even pictures. And more posts.

Inviting random guesses as to the Four-wheeled loveliness awaiting me in Ipswich..

I'm also on train 1 of 3 on Operation Chodgrab.   I am too cheap to do my own collection thread, so I have hijacked skattrd's thread about the Lancia to berate him for persuading me to buy a 31 year old Italian with forced induction as a daily runabout.

Sales and Marketing Gurus take note of Skattrd's effective high pressure sales technique.  Watch and learn:

skattrd:  "I want to sell my old Lancia, anyone want to buy it?"

BV72:  "Me please!"

Talk the hind legs off a donkey, he could.

And goodbye to Liverpool Street Station. Parting is such sweet...oh, wait....

Excellent. Three way circle jerk of chod collection LIVE on Autoshite. Couldn't pay good money for this anywhere else.

Is there a Fiat anywhere in this thread? Anyone having last minute thoughts of utter dread about the long miserable drive home in whatever hopeless rubbish you've just bought?

'Next stop Chelmsford, Chelmsford.... 123....'

Sorry. Dullest train journey ever. Although I have just done something both awesome and dangerous. Especially when the wife finds out...

Bit leftfield and am not sure if any still exist but how about a Daewoo Nexia?

Whats an 'NFC' phone? New Fangled Crap?

Ironically sent from my HTC One

Near Field Communication, I think it allows phones to connect to each other without going through the mobile network.

If it's not a Frontera (or possibly a steam billowing 1.8 Freeloader) then you're in big trouble, mister.

I have a K series v6 already....and sold my old Fronterror last weekend. However...

Must have dozed off, I swear the last stop was announced as Galveston.

If it was it's not quite what I imagined it to be...

'Colchester, change here for Clacton on Sea'....must...resist...temptation.....

Claims of wi-fi and power on the train proved to be mendacious on both counts so I might struggle to do my thread. I'll give it a try though.

Alas, speaking in my professional capacity, I have to opine that the DSR are trumped in this instance by the "FRO, it serves you right for buying it from some bloke off the internet, you div (Miscellaneous Provisions) Order 1189.

Besides, ex turpi causa non oritur actio, as my old Nan used to say.

So, it's off I go to the locus poenitentiae.
