 I usually go out riding for about an hour, its so much easier finding the chod on the mountain bike as I can have a look down side roads I would never need to drive down, for example....

 

Cul-de-sacs are usually a good bet for an abandoned chod spot round here.

I drove past that Mosky yesterday, thought I recognised the location. There was a really ropey Minor parked there until recently, and there's still an old CA Dormobile at the back of the yard along with some other stuff. What an excellent spot, how rare is that? Must be a recent addition as I'm sure it wasn't there last time I drove past.

 

Also, how the hell have I not seen that old Thames? I'd love to think it's been sat there since '97. Local reg too.

Its well tucked away in a Cul De Sac I didn't know existed until Thursday. I dare say it has sat there since 1997 by the looks of it, the house looks grim too.

Good Evening! Some more tat spotted locally. The first three were all spotted this week literally on my doorstep, the rest were all spotted today (27/7) over Leigh on Sea and a couple in Southend and Rochford.

Can't believe I've never seen that Kadett, what a find! Looks surprisingly solid as well, as this is one of the dryest parts of the country I think it really helps the survival rates of old chod. That's my theory anyway.

 

Saw the Volvo trundling along not long ago, the private plate on it just screams "old money".

The Kadett is so tucked away I dare say its never been spotted before, its in Hullbridge down the end of a Cul De Sac, down the side of the house! I nearly missed it before turning round I glimpsed something old looking through some bushes on the overgrown front garden.

The Grandad 2x2 looks shiny - hope the axle stands are evidence of some driveway maintenance rather than the first rung on the stairway to car heaven.

This, unbelievably, appears to be a one owner car, with the last change of owner listed as October 1985. I've tried a few different registrations in this website - https://www.google.co.uk/compare/carinsurance/form?p=cars&q=AIqED2RrAr0faVmWvszRRsiMobc and the majority seem to have been in the same hands for 15 years plus. That minty Mazda 626 is still with its first owner as well.

Looks like the bloke with the Fiesta has finally sold the X reg MK3 Escort! That certainly was a nice pair that I always used to look out for when visiting that area. As well as the rotten Golf, I once passed a house nearby, with an open garage door revealing an absolutely mint, beige, Talbot Avenger on local plates. Don't think it comes out much, more's the pity.
