Rapid Bavarian waftbarge for sale - New! Improved! Now with topic prefix!

This is a genuine car I'm listing for a friend of mine, who cherishes nature and fishing, hence has no access to a computer.

This BMW E32 730i was delivered new in 1993 to a gentleman, who then used this dream in burgundy paintwork and cream leather only to ferry around his various concubines to their assigned working places.

Unfortunately he found a rather untimely end under tragic circumstances, and his next of kin reluctantly decided to part with the car to finance their crack habit and their covetousness for little shaved Arab boys, so the director of a company specialised in textile floor covering technology took possession of this magnificent motor. He later passed it on to my dear friend, who is a mechanic in the motor trade, and thus the car always received the meticulous attention it so deserves.

There is a genuine reason for sale and he invites offers around the 1k mark.

Arrrgh! My want gland has developed stretch marks it's so swollen with desire, and i've not even seen the pictures yet.

There's no V8 here, cort. Those beasts run an upgraded version of the straight six from the older M535i/635CSi.

I would LOVE one - especially with '725tds' badges and steel wheels.

I thought the e32 went over to v8s in 91 ?especially given its a 730 rather than a 735.

I thought that Hartge continued with the tuned M30 for the whole of H7 production, though I could be wrong. Over to Junkman for this one...

WANT! BIG STYLE. But as I've little money left, I'll have to pass this one up. If you've got any pics, please post yhem up. My mate VeryTallBrad used to have one almost exactly the same, but I think it was a '91 H-plate, Burgandy with cream leather and a very, very subtle body kit.

I only understood about two words of that advert, any chance of pictures and more details?

I don't know anything about German waftbarges, so all I can say is it is massive, looks pristine, has an engine, a gearbox, and moves.

It belongs to the mechanic of my local garage, a respected Rover P6 and Granada tinkerer, and one of the few lads who are actually allowed to touch my cars. He did a nut and bolt restoration on a MG Metro Turbo, this should give you some idea, what a bloody fruitcake he is, and you can buy a car off him unseen, if he tells you it's good, which he said this one is.

He just told me this morning that he wants to sell the car, and I will gather all relevant information on Monday. I will also take a few mong pics, the place is too crammed with chod to take any decent ones.

Hartge didn't do a conversion on the 730i, only the 735i. Not to say it doesn't have the wheels and other bits tho but the engine will be the standard 188 bhp.

BMW offered the 730i as both a straight six from 1987 to 1994, and a V8 version from 1992 - the six and eight ran side by side until the end in 1994. I've seen an M plate 730i in death green with the M30 mill.

If anyone is interested i've got a proper workshop manual for one of these from when i had mine.

Heres's some pictures (this thread deserves pictures *cough*take the hint junkman*cough* :-D  )

I've had to use hard-core pornography in order to give an idea of scale.

Sounds a nice car for not a lot of money when you think back to what they were new and the specification they have; only downsize is running costs and it needs a big garage to live in.

Does he want some photos doing?

!!!MASSIVE CORRECTION!!!

This is not a Hartge, but a standard BMW 730i, which IMO makes it even more desirable.

However, it is festooned with Alpina stripes and badges, which can easily be removed.

Me mistaking it for a Hartge was an age related Freudian, since the guy also had a real Hartge e28 at some point.

The car has an MoT until October 2014, but practically wasn't driven since the MoT was made, which is the reason for selling it.

If you like, a new MoT can be made any day though.

The car is at a real car garage, with lift and everything, so a thorough inspection can be done right there.

Pictures will be uploaded tonight when I'm home.

Have you been mis-sold BMWi by Junkman? Junkman has a £12.1 billion fund for customers affected by Junkmans mis-selling of BMWi.

Very nice, I'd quite like a turn in one of these. Do we know if it's a 6 or an 8 yet?

Either way, would he swap for a L reg 1.9 derv clio with OMGHGF? Would throw in the gallon of veg in the boot and 2 x 4 pint milk bottles of finest London tap water to honor the tail light warranty.

Looking at the front end is say that's a six. The V8s had the face lift front.

mmmmmm thats nice, a few bottles of omgleathercleaner and she'd be mint

The interior does look better in real life than in the pics.

The car really is mint, at least to my eyes.

However, viewing can be arranged.
