I mostly read Autoshite for the LOLs and the vast experience of the obscure, not sure how much those skills transfer to a classic car mag but a few of you could apply

Sounds very much like they want someone already experienced in the industry rather than an enthusiastic newcomer. Obviously less risk and hassle to them.

I can't apply for this one, they're asking for "details of the classic cars you own."  At the moment I don't have any.  Or can I offer upwards of a thousand models of them?

I can't apply for that. I promised myself that I'd NEVER do a permanent salaried job again, and would stay freelance until 2032, and despite 5 good offers I've kept my promise.
