Anybody any good ideas on shifting several tons of dead Solihull goodness a couple of hundred miles economically?? Lol

I do believe you mention on this very forum that P38's are actually quite simple and relativly reliable so you jinxed yourself.

Just out of curiosity....how fast do these go in low ratio? Are we talking single digit velocities??

Assuming a similar sort of ballpark to the Discovery, I managed around 40 mph when mine was stuck in low box. Can't recall whether that was on the red line or not, but I do remember that even for a 20 mile journey it was enough of a ballache for me to pull out the centre console and cut through the gear lever gaitor (no drill with me to remove the rivets) so I could sort out the linkage!
