So, due to increasing demand for this service and thanks to a bumload of overtime at the factory, DavTec Automotive is now in possesion of an Autel ObdII/Airbag/ABS Diagnostic kit.

Any 'shiters near Nuneaton in Warwickshire needing a light turned off or a code read out for any car with a 16 pin obdII socket (usually 1996 onwards) gimme a shout.

Usually I charge £15.00 for code read offs but AWESOME DISCOUNT!! A third off! £10.00 to lovers of the brown forum.

Also, I offer Servicing, Brakes, Batteries, Bulbs etc

See www.davtecautomotive.co.uk for details.

:)

Also my old Foxwell obdII engine code reader is available for sale just need to get piccys, pm for details.

Nice service fella.

When it comes to airbags, you can also just bridge the airbag connecting plug with a 501 sidelight bulb. If youre not very safety conscious.

Pikey, but effective. Will still come on with ignition, and go out after.

Mr shot-peas, very pikey but I've seen worse. When I worked for Daewoo we had a customer who had wired his stereo in to the airbag loom...

Mr Barefoot, drop me a PM or give me a ring via the number on the website :)

I'm down in Cornwall and can also offer this service but with a snap on tool. Same prices for genuine shiters.

Could you not just measure the resistance of the bulb, and solder in a resistor ?

That sounds unnecessarily thorough :)

Blame the Yaris owners club and an experimental Piss Beans.

Airbag list coming on is a common problem on 406s and presumably other PSA sh*te using the same parts. Mostly caused by dirty contacts in the connectors under the front seats. Split the connector, clean, reassemble, job done.

The standard* fix for this on Rover 75s is to jiggle around the wires under the front seats.  Worked for me, anyway.  Sadly doesn't work for ABS sensors or rear window seals.
