Rubber band Riot....... a Dutch moment.

More piccies as promised, and one of that dealer sticker. The majority of the cruddy and slightly moist carpet has been removed. A replacement is included, as are the actual CV boots! The car is a runner (if I forgot to mention that). I don't really want to put it on eBay and would be a much happier bunny if it did sell on here. Anyway...... piccies:

Service items plus a spare NOS water pump

1100cc's of pure Renner powah!

The few rusty'ish bits. Not that many or that serious to be honest.

N/S lower screen corner

Passenger door. The stainless trim lifts off to give good access to the bits beneath.

Drivers door, same as above but less area affected.

Slight scrape.

Tired back seat upright.

Interior with the scabby bits of carpet removed. The door seal needs replacing as mentioned and the carpet got a bit moist with all of this rain. The profile seems pretty common and I will see if any can be sourced in the UK. The O/S inner wheel arch carpet was a little moist to as was the underlay, hence removed. It all seems quite solid as the car was waxoiled from new, you can see the bungs in place.

Decent boot space.

So, there she is. If you have lustings with significant intent then please just PM me. Car is near Colchester.

£325 ovno. Shiters discount will apply.

Wonderful! The garage is now Nova Car Sales on the junction of London Road and Dundonald Drive, the car needs to go back there for photos!

I like that kind of thing, nice to be able to pinpoint the garage and a piccie opportunity as possibility if it remains in Essex.

If anyone is realistically interested, could you let me know asap as if not I'll have to chuck her on eBay as a bit of a shift around at Essex Daf is on the cards as another car will be coming in for one of the folk involved (not immediately, but soon'ish).

Ta  :D

A pair of laggy band specials I spotted in Clacton in September, brown 66 coupe is shitter-tastic!

Red earlier estate, parked at the side. Awesomely shite :)

I know both the cars and the owners well. They are the main instigators of 'Essex Dafs' and both are top blokes. The red estate, whilst a little cosmetically challenged in a couple of areas is a lovely car to drive, so smooth and pretty nippy.  The coupe is very nice indeed, possibly the nicest Daf body style ever.

I'm off the week commencing 25th Nov but am occupied on the Monday and Tuesday, oh and the Saturday, the rest is gravy as it were. Always happy to venture to the Essex Badlands.

Sadly eBay beckons. Hello eBay mongtards.

Momgtards avoid by heroic AS'er action.

No doubt all will be revealed at at some point soon'ish.

Fab outcome  :-D

I'm glad that someone here has bought it; I'm really quite sad that I wasn't able to offer it a home, but the potential storage space at my workplace wasn't forthcoming, largely due to some of my co-workers who have insisted on leaving their untaxed/untested cars on site in full view of the management for months/years without attending to them :(

I still hope to have a Variomatic DAF (or Volvo - I'm warming to the idea of owning a Variomatic 300 Series!) at some point in the future, though ;)

Well if you want to pop over to Essex Daf at any point you would be more than welcome.

Nah, can't do that, although if the person involved wishes to 'fess up, then be my guest  :-D

We might even be able to tempt you with another project, they have a habit of doing that do old Daf's. Oh yes.

The voices told me to do it...

Plans include getting it through an MoT and enjoying it  chopped springs, Carlos Fandango wheels and ironic DAF truck tribute airbrush paintwork :

Excellent!  I do love to see cars changing hands between Shiters, it means there's a strong chance they will survive.  We do seem to be, by nature, unwilling to scrap a car just because something has failed.  I love it!

I actually don't think we've taken it for an MOT since it's been in the hands of Essex Daf. It'll be fab to get it back on the road.
