We did.  We had our first AS bidder, too.  And it wasn't me...

I'm still on the a5. I did leave it. Ended up southbound on motorway. Put sat nav on which kept getting confused and taking me round towns so I've gave it up as a bad job thought fuck it and pulled up till I've calmed down

3 of us LS, Bub and me took part in the auction game, which had a rather rushed start as we only got to the auction 10 minutes before bidding started.

So a win was on the cards for any of us who had avoided the odd 4 figure monster.

 

I have also plugged the hi-fi that Bub sold me for a tenner into the Puma and it works fine, no wire changing faff required, all plugged in first time.

I now have 2 cars that run their sounds off data sticks.

 

 

My personal highlight of the auction with the exception of the LDV convoy, complete with 7 seats and a working speck lift, was the povo spec Jag X type, cloth, manual, dull colour and 2.1 petrol motor, all for £400.

honoured notice to the Ford Escort Ghia (£250) and the Skoda Supurb that a couple of taxi drivers where bidding each other up on in 20's (£940)

knackered engine of the day went to the Merc E320 that was doing a perfect demonstration of fecked turbo, even the usual boys who bid up any old shit with a posh badge walked away at £420.

Great day had by me. Great to meet andy and ls. Apart from my slight mental breakdown on way home and really hurting myself on that bench and not forgotten the treading in shit (dirty bastards) it was a most enjoyable day. Andy I knew you would have regrets. Julian, I will find remote for stereo by next meet. I regret not having enough cash for that mondeo. Next time I need a car though I'm going there.
