Ok so I rescued a Xantia for my inlaws, it'd been in the field at work for around 6 years and looked like this when they came to see it:

It'd had a shed load of work in the recent past (well in mileage terms) including the heater matrix, head gasket, timing belt & front tyres, along with a good chunk of service history.

I should note that it was still mouldy inside and that part of the deal was that I remove said mould before my mother in law would even sit in it!

Here it is after a quick scrub:

But due to it having been claimed in lieu, there is only one key and hence only one transponder, so can anyone identify this immobiliser key?

I have one from another car too, but can't id it to find out about reprogramming.

Just been to see the Xantia with her new owners, she's getting a full buff & polish to remove the years of green shit off of the paintwork.

If anyone has a Haynes manual or a decent mk1 b headlamp for the nearside. pm me!

That doesn't seem like an unreasonable request! No-one wants to be covered in green after a test drive.

These Mk1 Xantias are easy to reprogram keys for. There's a guide on how to do it online and it takes about 10 seconds.

Pfft, it was only a bit on the dash & steering wheel. Some people are just fussy ;)

It's not the key, its the immobilizer fob that I'd need to either remove or get another, the key really isn't an issue.
