Slovakia Spots.

I'm new here but posting these as I think they are too good/shite for the Retro Rides crowd to comment on.

Been a couple of times the past few weekls to see a lady friend  so will be there again shortly.

Not a great quantity of old shite at all as I'd expected. Mostly newish Skodas/VW's/Peugeots etc.

Most of these are from the hire place she works at and the stock of shite the boss also sells:

Daewoo Tico is the pick of the bunch for me! Interesting spots there, good work

How much for the Croma? :D

Posted

Surprisingly the exact same price as the Tico... original pricing policy. (Boss is a bit mental with over pricing).

Hmm, in that case I'll have the Skoda wagon, pimp it up, hawk it to some Commie Car Club people and make BANK.

The Skoda estate is deifnitely the cream of the crop - fabulous car. Quite nostalgic about the Skoda Karosa bus too - the last ones were on the road just as I was beginning to be able to tell one car or the other. The Tico is by far and away the worst car I've ever been in and is utterly horrific; they used to have them as taxis in Romania and I'd rather take a syphilitic goat on the motorway than one of those. Rant over, good spots and keep 'em coming.

Nice spottage there. You're not Timothy Claypole of '80s TV Rentaghost fame are you

Skoda's neither Felicia nor Octavia - Octavias were smaller 2-door saloons or estates whiel Fellatios were the topless version. The state's a Skoda 1202. To complicate things, there were also Favorits and Superbs in the 30s.....

Octavia badge on the back of that one though! :)

sorry - my muppetry  - got carried away by the front grille which is different from the normal Octavias? although might be a simple modification to make the car look more modern. http://www.vozyskoda.wz.cz/fotogaleri.htm has a lot of good pics to clarify. the car is indeed an octavia kombi.
