For sale: Adria 470c 4 or 5 bed caravan

We haven't used our caravan for a couple of years and as it is costing me storage fees I think it's time to sell it on.

The kids have gotten older and have constant activities, and the wife doesn't like it.

This is a 1988 but has a modern style Alko chassis.

Brakes and lights all work.

Tyres are ancient but legal.

Working gas heater, hob, oven and three way fridge.

Eye level grill is dead.

Working water pumps but battery is dead.

It has a double bed at each end, and over the front bed I have put a fixed bunk making it five beds.  It did this in such a way that it can be removed with very minimal damage putting it back to standard.

Toilet is not a cassette type.

There is a big 3 metre deep awning with an extra annex so huge, however I bought this new and it is still in as new condition.  This will be for sale separately as it just doesn't increase the value of the caravan as much as selling it on its own.  However whoever buys the caravan gets first dibs.

It's dry and solid but old and tatty (shite in fact).

The body is 15'4"

Total length is 20'4"

Unladen weight is 16.5cwt

Max weight is 19.9cwt

This picture is a few years old but all that I have at the moment.  I think I can probably clean it back to way it is in the pic if I can jet wash some tree sap off it.

Location is west of London.

I can deliver if the distance is reasonable.

how do I add this picture:- ?

I think I am looking for offers near to £500. It's difficult to value these things but I would probably get that if I broke it for parts, and it is big enough for a family holiday with two or three kids, and it's basically ready to go and use.

The other nice thing with these old Adrias is that they are quite light for such a big caravan. At 840kg it can be towed by virtually anything. I have had it up to 70mph on French motorways without a stabiliser and it is as stable as a rock on the back of the 806. Beyond 70 it starts to bounce a little but I have never had even a hint of a sway from it.

More pics to follow in a couple of days.

You'll struggle to sell it on here. It's about the only caravan I've ever seen that isn't beige and brown on the outside!

Can't say I've ever seen a caravan like that. I do like it but have no money or need for a caravan (apart from next weekend when we're actually going camping!).

Hey DNJ, don't you like small french diesel engined estate cars that begin with the number 3?

SWMBO wants a caravan and this won't be up to towing some horrendous 4 berth plastic bastarding shed on wheels round. I have the ex-Eddy Ramjet 406 for that sort of pleasure* now and I also have my other 306 diesel hatchback. That (the hatch) is bloody horrible but I just can't bring myself to part with it.
