***I FIXED IT***

Yet another cracking meet again this month, huge selection of interesting stuff on display.

Great weather, good people and the heavy scent of unburnt unleaded.

My pictures will give you a taste of what I mean

Yeah, I totally fail as I can't work out how to fix it or delete the thread either.

Between here, the blue forum and photobucket the internet has become exponentially more difficult of late.

You should have an edit button/grey text to the bottom right of your post to let you get back into it.

On photobucket I just click the direct link now and put it in. Although if you have cut and paste from RR I dont know how that will work. I might just look on RR

Bump back to the top now that I've (sort of) fixed the thread.

yes was a cracking meet - one of the best turnouts in a while helped massively by the great weather. I took the wifes XR2 which had it's first outing after 4 years of lay up in my mums garage. Roll on the next meet :-)

It was a great turnout, even better when you think that a lot of the yank/hotrod guys were in the Lake district at Hotrod and Hills.

I've got a couple of snaps of your XR

Yep that's the one - Spent 4 hours cleaning and valeting it on Friday before. If I ever get round to it i'll post some pics of before and after.

As soon as dvla confirms the reg swap it will be up for sale .. Will be going to the oil can café meet on sunday with it fingers crossed.

My lad was also there in his Polo coupe (red metallic one) again hopefully he will be coming along on Sunday

The XR did look spankingly clean, nice work (but then, knowing you and your Capri, it was always going to be mint) IIRC this in the one that you rebuilt from a bent one when it was still relatively young?

I'll be there Sunday for sure, not sure who'll be my lift mind, but I'll be there.

Worth waiting for.  That BMW estate is appalling and yet strangely appealing.  Desoto Firedome is a quality bit of carprawn.

I think that Mk1 Cavalier was for sale on Retro Rides a few weeks back. I dunno if it sold or not but I'm sure it had a Manta injection motor.
