French meeting at Beaulieu

Spent the weekend in the New Forest for a friend's wedding so I obviously made the obligatory call in to the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu on the way home.

I didn't bother taking any pictures inside the museum as I know that most people on here will be familiar with the place (and we've already had such threads in the past anyway). However, my visit did coincide with a small gathering of French classix, so I thought I'd grab a few snaps for your enjoyment.

Interestingly there were squillions of these all over the place...

...so they seem to be gathering a PT Cruiser-style following already. But here goes with some of the more interesting stuff on display.

8) That Aronde coupé is gorgeous.

I like the 104 and the varicose vein blue mingebag spec 205 is postively wonderful.

And the Rancho, and the GS, the Murena, the.... oh sod it I like the lot.

Some fantastic stuff there. I don't think i'd ever seen a R8 in that color before.

The around coupe is a thing of beauty, but i'm quite into the black and red GS i've got to say. These seem to be popping up a lot at the moment, especially in estate flavour like the orange one.

Any idea what the wheels on that simca 1100 are ?

What's the big blue estate, some kind of Simca?

Posted

Peugeot 203 estate. The lack of chrome grille does make it look unusual.

I need that black and red GS in my life.

1100 wheels are Lancia beta rims. 4x98, y'see
