Won't be at Chumley - bit far for me. Santa Pod is a possibility though.

It's only 4 hours! (Same distance from here...)

Hey that LN is a top buy. I watched it tick down on ebay and contemplated throwing on a last minute bid - Luckily for us both I resisted.

The thought of driving to Santa Pod in a 796cc car scares the hell out of me, Pencil me in if I still have it!

I've taken a 602cc car to Santa Pod. AND taken it down the strip! It was shit boring actually - I don't recommend it. (the drag racing, not the getting there).

AA reckons well over 5 hours from here. Don't forget Norfolk roads are a lot shitter than normal roads.

OK, that isn't the route I was looking at - I was going A47-A17 as it's more direct. Typed the A14-M6 route into AA Routefinder and it still came up with 4h49m though. Must use different average speed calcs.

If that's the road that brings you out at J1/J2 of the M6, that'll be the one you want. Having endured many a trip to Norfolk I can confirm going past Rutland Water etc up towards Nottingham actually takes forever.

Don't forget the A11 is nearly all 40mph, and 25 mph as you queue for the 40mph bit. Getting out of norfolk is always an hour more than you think - especially if you are the "other side" of norwich.
