I thought it was time I shared with you all the models that are in my room, i.e. the ones that I've bought since Aug 08 when we moved into our current house (any prior to that are still packed away & will probably remain so due to storage). This is actually a very disappointing showing for me, I would normally have far more to show you but models have had to take a back seat this year as I've had other more important things to use my money on. Indeed the most recent models in this selection were bought back in June which tells you how slow things have been for my hobby in 2009

Ah yes, forgot about the Senator!I've got a few 305s but I have only ONE Senator (there were a few we got only one of - Senator, R9 and R4 - I'm having the R9 & R4 for myself though so they won't be going on eBay!!). Got a reasonable number of everything else as we tend to try and stock a decent amount of them but sometimes some models are just really hard to get in any sort of quantity.

Cheers, that's nice to hear! You remind me of myself about 5 years ago when my collection was rapidly expanding & I was receiving new models on a daily basis & I ploughed most of my money into it when I was younger & more care free & it was either that or booze, unfortunately things have caught up with me & I've had to slow down. You'll have a collection like mine in no time I can tell! It's not all good though, it's actually a bit of a burden, especially when it comes to storage & moving home which we have done frequently over the last few years & the bigger the collection gets the more of a burden it becomes until one day you ask yourself whether it's actually enjoyable anymore or a bit of a compulsion! But by that time you're in too deep to just give up or try & reduce the collection as it's just too time consuming.Anyway that's the flip side of it, at the end of the day it's still a hobby & there's not much else I'd rather be doing so here's to many more years of collecting! The prospectus for my collection is as follows; cars from the 70s onwards, cars that my family or I have owned, cars that I like. First & foremost in 1/43 but if not available in that scale then I will consider other scales, or if it's a vehicle which is dear to me such as the R14 then I will just collect any model in any scale of it

Not sure tbh, I'm not expecting any but you never know. The guy who imports them has got very few left and didn't import many so I'm not too optimistic. Will try and get some though.

Having a bit of a tidy-up today i stumbled on a big box of old cars aunder my bed, quite a few in there i didn't remeber owning! most are small 1/76 type jobs so wont photo well on my dodgy camera. I haven't bought a model for about 6/7 years but amazingly most of the stuff reflects my tastes pretty well. lovely little Tomica Toyota Crown, a GS, a 604, simca 1100 etc. nice to know i had such good taste as a youngster. anyway, after about an hour my desk looked like this:

this Solido 2CV is really lovely, wish i had the DS to go with it. The Alpine is one of several kits i made when i was a lad, this is the one with the nicest finish and it's survived pretty well after 4 years in a box in the loft.

'Vette & Porker have boxes somewhere i think. cossie is one of those shite 'snap-together' kits. obviously a gift from someone who had no idea of my tastes. thanks anyway. Porker was a very expensive model when new, not that i'd pay for it, ugly POS.

i'll work out the P&P and if anyone wants them they can have em for that. you heard - FREE STUFF. or come and pick them up and they'll be TOTALLY FREE.

the most interesting 1/43s...Multipla, Ami 6, R3, 126, R16, 96.

 

 

Mulipla is a Spot-On and would be worth a fortune if it was in orignal condition, got it for 5p without a bit of paint on itand one broken window. better now.

R16 is a 70s Corgi, and the 126 is by Polistil yup.
