What varieties do the Vanguards Mk1 Escorts come in?Just a plain one but with carlos fandango wheels would be boss, but I have only seen rally/po-po liveried ones.

I have the Mexico in an attractive shade of bright green! Unfortunately I can't find a picture of it to link to.

 

The purple velvet Escort above takes me back to one very similar I was given a ride in as a special treat when I was about 8, as at the time they were my favourite car & I always wanted one in purple or orange. I think it belonged to the daughter of the owner of a model shop we had popped into whilst on holiday in Cornwall, the model garage, Redruth, what a shop that was! I made my parents buy me a Dinky Ford Escort MkI Panda car & then I got a lift in a real one (road car), what a holiday that was!

Then the bronze / copper coloured one came out that actually is the Life On Mars car, so understandably everyone went a bit crazy for that one too!

 

I had been noticing your Merseyside police MkI Escy & observed that it has a higher RRP than other police cars such as the Sussex police Capri! I can only assume it's cos of the heavy duty light box / spot lights on the roof, seems a little excessive to ask another 3 or 4 quid for that though!

I've got a couple of Ikea cabinets that look pretty decent. You can also stick a few other bits and bobs in them which keeps 'the management' happy.

Norev did a whole series of the later style - each shop front with a bit of pavement and street. From memory there was a chemist, brasserie / pub, boulangerie, fire station, couple of different garages and possibly some others I have forgotten. They tend to be a bit rare now but search eBay France for Norev boutique / Ambiances Norev / Decor Norev and you might find one.

I looked at those IKEA cabinets, on the suggestion of Er Indoors.

They would look nice, but 1:43's would get a bit lost in them I feel, certainly with my [currently] small collection.

 

Am wochend I shall be installing a floating shelf above the telly for them...
