Interested in this! Is it AHC Pilen? The only model of the 440 available...

What's the condition, all fine apart from a missing wing mirror?

I'll take it if that's all it is & you've still got it

Brammy-most of the other stuff are cars I sell to people who make Banger models, there's some XJS's,an XJ40 & a Senator. There may be a Volvo 245,but someone else is interested in that.MrRegieRitmo-I've still got the Volvo,it is indeed Ahc Pilen,it has both the mirrors missing but is otherwise good. The Alfa is a Minichamps, but I'm keeping that one.Reminds me of when I had my real 155 & someone at work thought it was a Volvo 440

Gama Mk 3 Cavalier

Was this actually branded as a Vauxhall? I have this in white & it's an Opel Vectra (A), I have a light blue hatchback as well which I can't remember if it's an Opel or a Vauxhall. I have the MkII Cavalier / Ascona © as a white saloon & a silver hatch as well
Posted

I presume its vauxhall, it does have RHD, so probably is :) But yeh, Gama and schabak seemed to do dealer models for alot of things back in the 80s and 90s, and i really need more of them, but they do carry quite a premiumBut saying that, I did get a Schabak Sapphire for £2.30 the other day.

cripes, Ive bought alot recently.want the list?here goesGama Cavalier off of 155V6Ford Escort Mexico Police car (Vanguards)Corgi Peugeot 505 (red)Corgi Ford Escort RS1600iCorgi Ford Escort Van British Gas (old 80s livery)Matchbox Scammell Crusader Tractor Unit.Dinky Ford Transit MK2Corgi Mercedes Benz Actros Tractor Unit. (1/50)and EFE Alexander Y Type, Stagecoach western.Senator hasnt showed up yet hahahahahaIve been selling some items too, for cheaaaap, I sold both American Trucks i had by corgi, for a combined total of £40 so not too bad.Im hoping theres a frenzy for the Sierra when it ends.Anyone on here interested on some boxed matchbox cars?XR3, Rover 800, Volvo 760 and a Ferrymasters volvo lorry?Mint of course.

Posted

So as you're big on collecting at the moment, how are you deciding ones that have to go?

Posted

Ones I dont concentrate on anymore. So at the moment it appears m concentrating on corgi and vanguards/any 1/43 car thats shite. (plus the odd lorry)The interloper in that lot, the bus, was only because it was damn cheap and I had wanted it for a while. So at the moment, american models, matchbox size things and motorsport models are out.Ill keep the corgi juniors though, and the Samara I got from Norway. The thing is, from items ive sold, They have paid for everything i have bought, so thats a good thing :)

Id like to start collecting some models but where do i start ? what are the best makes and scale to go for ? im thinking of getting one of those corner glass display cabinets of some sort for the top of the stairs. any ideas or sites i can browse through.

Posted

Depends, whats your budget, and what are you aiming to get?Its a very addictive thing, but then again, im addicted to buying things haha.Ebays good, Its where most bargains are to be had.

*Cough*http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/LobsterDiecast*Cough* Depends what you want, in what scale and what price really. In 1/43 Minichamps, Spark, NEO, Norev are all good and there are an awful lot of cheapish part work models that are very good.In 1/18 I find AutoArt difficult to beat for a combination of price / quality.
Posted

Id just like to get one or two a month but id like to keep them more or less the same scale so they look good on display, id like to start with all the cars ive owned over the years which even tho im only 29 has been quite a lot maybe over 50? budget im not sure ? depends how much is an average cost of one ?

Posted

well, 1/43 seems best for you then!Minichamps can be anywhere from 15ish-25 quid.Neo is even more, around £35-45Corgi Vanguards are from anything as low as £5-£15The quality depends on the price, Corgi Vanguards are very good value for their price, but im bias, if you want precision, get Minichamps.Ixo is also good, around the same price as Minichamps.I was going to suggest lobsters shop actually haha. What cars have you had?
