Cortina boot spoiler help

I've been after a boot spoiler for my mk5 cortina saloon pretty much since i bought it, there's one on ebay at the minute but that's at £130+already which is beyond my budget as it will probaly end up knocking on the door of 2 ton

The bootlid is 56inches/143cm across on the back edge which seems to make most things unsuitable as it' so wide. I've measured most things and they are all too narrow (mk2 cavalier, e28 5series, e30 3 series, opel manta,capri, mk2 escort etc) just wondered if anyone knew how wide a pug 505 bootlid was?

Or does anyone have any other suggestions? (ideally with measurements), what i'm after basically is a black rubber boot spoiler in keeping with the period of the car.

Just a thought but would a Mk2 Orion RS spoiler fit?.

The one i got off ebay was about 4 inches to narrow, that said it does look more like a mk3/4 escort spoiler but i wouldn't it would make a difference as escorts and orions are the same width.

Could you source another 'too narrow' spoiler, then chop both 2" off centre and join with tigerseal, then sell the short leftovers to someone with a Reliant.

Probobly no help, but I fitted a Lada Riva spoiler on the Bluebird

Have you not tried the likes of retro rides' wanted section? I take it the spoiler you are looking for is an RGA item?
