Looking for a small reliable economical preferably diesel motor, Astra has died Maestro auto is fine but thirsty and new job requires 80 miles round trip a day

anything would be considered don`t much care who made it or what it looks like just need it to be economical and reliable :D+

PM please with what you got. I`m in south yorkshire but would travel reasonable distance for right car

1 Maestro is enough, :roll: just need much more MPG, the one I own now was actually the same one Mr VA borrowed from the fine gentleman Mr skattered turned out to be a cracking little motor but 30 mpg is gonna cost me a fortune doing 480 miles a week :(

I would have thought a well tuned a series Maestro would get more than 30 mpg on a run

Yeah, it's a brilliant car that I would happily jump in and drive absolutely anywhere at the drop of a hat. You'd struggle to find a car at that price that's cheaper to run.

Looking at her pained expression I would suggest it is either a superheated 'tongue stinger' Steak Bake or possibly that thing that Compo kept in a matchbox in Last of The Summer Wine.

The Cavcraft Pug is the better choice for what's wanted, especially if the man already has a Maestro.
