Stolen Land Rover 90

This belongs to a really good mate of mine, and he works for the people that supply replacement Chassis' for Land Rovers.

 

Heads up people. Land Rover 90 stolen from the South Doncaster area last night/this morning between midnight and 03:30. Dark grey, windowed hardtop, Richards bespoke chassis with front hitch mount welded in. Tdi, Mach 5 Wheels, A bar fitted, spot lights, rock sliders. Reg C121 OCH. Half a tank of fuel in it, it could be ANYWHERE by now. Keep 'em peeled folks, the owner has put a LOT of work into this, and it would be nice for him to have it back in one piece.

Oddly I just saw a chavvy one of these heading up to Guisley. It did not have fucking stupid HID lights did it? Thats why I noticed it as it dazzled the shit out of me and is also the reason I have no idea how old it was etc etc. Long shot I know but worth mentioning....

 

Hopefully it will turn up eh? 2nd one reported in a week. This a big problem then?

I know how your mate feels....had my 90 Station Waggon nicked Jan '11. That was on a galvy chassis too, I was absolutely heart broken.....

 

In my case, my insurance initially voided my policy and refused to pay out on the grounds that the Landy had a galv chassis which they considered to be an 'undisclosed modification'.......needless to say, a well researched and strongly worded letter was shortly followed by a change in heart and a full and generous payout!

Gutted for the owners but they are nicked fairly frequently. I recall going into the local halfrauds a year or so ago and there was a bloke there buying one of those round steering wheel cover/locks. He said that he had run a chain and padlock thu his steering wheel and the bastards had just hacksawed the steering wheel and negated the chain pretty quickly. Thieving scum sucking bastards.
