flat4alfa Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 'If I was a rich manYa ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dumI'd take my FERRARI 275 GTB out in the saltIt's only worth £400k...' This morning, M1 southbound, Hertfordshire. Didn't think it was realy worth starting a new thread ...but couldn't find a relevant thread So. Any salted exotica spotted on your travels? Or maybe just grubby, neglected, shite condition exotica, with bits missing like the average Megane.
HillmanImp Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Does not show up on the Doovla database either or any other websites I tried but does show up on Askmid as being insured. Odd. Is it owned by MI5 or something? * *More likely to me be being a technologically inept pleb
barrett Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Because it's registered as a 'FERRARI 275 GTB' rather than a Ferrari. Lots of imported stuff is reg'd like this for some reason
Pillock Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 It's because (and you might want to sit down for this bit, it's shocking....) the DVLA have ballsed it up.https://www.cartell.ie/ssl/servlet/begi ... on=eln164c "Make" is listed as "Ferrari 275GTB" whilst "Model" is unknown. So searching for just Ferrari would bring up a blank on the DVLA site I'd imagine.
flat4alfa Posted December 6, 2012 Author Posted December 6, 2012 Did you all miss the third line of my little song then? Already looked it up, see.
jonny69 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 On Sunday I gave a jump start to a posh couple in an Aston on their way to an Owners' Club meet. Does that count? I sort of wished I still had my Pop at that point, not my Anglia, for added funny* lols.
face Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Taking into account recent happenings - the driver must be called 'Elaine'.
Pillock Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Did you all miss the third line of my little song then? Already looked it up, see. Oh, I thought you just knew it was a 275GTB and was wondering why it wasn't on t'computer.
pompei Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 It's not a rebodied Toyota or Pontiac or something?
Guest Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Good on the bloke. If I had that car, I would do the same.
