Saw this on my way to the docs this morning. Bodywork's not perfect but still pretty solid for its age though it could do with a good cut/polish. The interior seemed to be pretty much spotless.

^^MODS, PLEASE REMOVE THIS JOKER^^

Either I am missing the point here (something that happens quite often) or the offensive post has already gone and now it looks like you are not happy with VWpowered's view on crumbly Fiats.

Metrotastic!

I was quite surprised by how good the bodywork was. Not sure about the tan leather though.

Looking at it I would sa the suspension has been recently pumped up too as it looks a little highter than you nermally see them.

What a shame he didn't finish the look with a FULL set of MG alloys  still a tasty motor though :D

Is that a VP500? I'm sure the Pog will know, seeing as he luuurrrves Metros!!

Good job I went to St. Evenage the day before then. I wouldn't have been able to contain my "joy" if I spotted that road-turd.

I'm sure they were optional as "Austin caped" ones on the VDP.

I see what you mean. None of the VDP's up here seemed to wear these wheels, only ever seen them on the MG's. Wouldn't you think they'd have put the VDP badge in the middle instead of the povvy fodder badge and perhaps a bit of faux chrome round the edge like they did with Maestro, Montego etc :? ?

Somewhat scruffy Primera Estate. Only posting as I've never seen one before!

Nope, just a high spec one. The VP500s were all 3-doors with the earlier pepperpot alloys and special script on rear quarter:

My eyes were stung by a nightmarish scribble of blue and chrome this morning. It truly was 'orrible. I would've taken more pictures but the nausea and sudden onset of a migraine proved too much for me. Just as well I was on my way to a hospital appointment!

God. What's the yellow thing behind the blue blob, something like an RX-7 or a Starion?

Posted

I don't know what that is, I'll try and have a look later.

Very nice, but it looks like its been driven at full suspension height. I could understand doing that in a french field, but at asda?
-looks like they've left the little height selector up one notch. It'll go higher than that!

Yonks ago when I was begging my Dad to replace his Mk3 Cavalier with a 3 year old Xantia, the Citroen dealer described the height control lever as being "idiot proof" .....

I'm thinking not..

I have seen BXs driving along on full height before now. Bouncy!! I only ever did that myself when fording. Simply raise the car above the water. Excellent!

Could be an old giffer using the height control to ease entry and exit from the vehicle? Bit like those tall armchairs Dame Thora Hurd used to advertise (filling in time between stints for Stannah).I do the same when parking the XM to avoid scraping the door bottoms on the high kerbs round our way.

Nah it wasn't an old giffer, the owner was probs only about 35ish.

More shite at ASDA in Stevenage. This was pretty clean apart from the dent on the front wing.
