Anyone familiar with Nissan Terrano 2's?

Work colleague's been chatting with me regarding a heap of Terrano2 he has (2.7 derv).

It's problems are:

Exhaust

Tyres

Cam Sensor

Crank Sensor

MAF sensor

First 2 need money spending on them, and I assume the last 3 will too. He says he's already cleaned the MAF out, and it's still broken. How easy are the Cam and Crank sensors to extract? He wants to scrap it, and I'm tempted to agree with him, but if it can be saved for a weekends fiddling it may be better.

T'internet's proving fruitless so far.

Cheers

Sam

Not sure. He needs to sign up at Nissan 4x4 Owners Club really. www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com

Costs a tenner for a year's access to the tech section and tech downloads. I've found it MASSIVELY useful. I presume it's a TDI he has as the earlier TD is a lot less complex.

I should imagine that with a bit of shopping around that lot should come to less than £400, as to ease of extraction, dunno sorry. I do know that the same engine is fitted to the London Taxi (the LTI TX1-4) and are bullet proof gear driven lumps that can easily clock up 300k miles and more.

Sweet. Think he's booked it in to be picked up by the scrappy on weds, will send him the link to this post incase he changes his mind! If it was anything more interesting and I had some funds I'd be tempted for a little project, but got bits on the ZX to keep me busy!

Thanks for your help!

He'd probably do better to just chuck it on Ebay. Even iffy projects seem to be fetching £300+ at the moment.

He did mention fixing it yesterday, but I don't hold out much hope of that happening. I'd be surprised if £250/300 waved under his nose did nothing, I'll mention it when he gets into the office. It's out of tax, and will be out of MOT come thursday I think
