Difficult to tell from here, but is that a picture of a Hiace camper randomly stuck onto a horseracing track? Excellent, who needs all that fancy desktop publishing and graphics nonsense? It looks little better new than when in Mouseflakes’ caring hands.File under ‘U’ for ungainly…

Yup, contender for Best Ad Ever

It’s still somehow more interesting, and certainly more charming, than the dull/zany/clever/whatever pan-European ad’s filmed or shot in somewhere like South Africa or New Zealand. Without wishing to sound too zenophobic, I live in Britain and I want to see British car ad’s.

Excited as I was to find the old photos of the Hiace, I knew that hidden away in some dusty corner of the loft I had one photograph that might even eclipse those.

Tonight I found that photo.

How were the rear suspension mounts? (just asking because of the undersealed sills)

Not too bad after a couple of days spent welding!!

(excuse the element of 'self-interest' in saving this thread from the imminent purge - one day I'll add something to it. Nice to see a few old posts from potty-mouth Pog too :D ).

Hey it only took you 4 years lol!

Great to be reminded of this car again in as-was early 90's condition. This was a time when for me, these and Renault 12's were common one day and extinct the next!
