Shite Introduction

I'm an ex-pat Austrian calling England home and I have been an avid lover of shite cars all my life. In fact, if a car isn't shite, I don't like it.

Hence, when I stumbled across autoshite, I felt right at home.

I must have had in the vicinity of 300 shite cars over the past 30 years and here is my current fleet of shite:

 

 

 

 

 

Apart from shite cars, I collect shite model cars and shite pushbikes.

They are pretty equally shite. They don't rust, so you have to put up with them for ages. If you want to weigh in your car after the shortest possible time because you are bored shitless of it anyway after two weeks, don't buy them.

That shite Lada is probably the least shite car I owned in a decade or two.

 

405s seemingly last forever, unless this happens:

 

 

 

This was our former one and we loved it to bits. A 2.0 (no, not 1.9) GTX auto. It got blitzed by the Axis Powers this Summer, i.e. a German Lady ploughed her Japanese car into it. Since at that time there were only 8 left in Britain (according to howmanyleft), I thought I'll never get another one. However, I then stumbled across the red one, another 2.0 (no, not 1.9) GTX auto. Apparently, this summer has taken quite a toll on them, since there are now only 3 (!) left.

I never trust a statistic I haven't falsified myself. I' say it's a trend indicator though.

Actually, I avoid to go anywhere with that shitbox because to say it is simply atrocious to drive would be an understatement worthy of British intellectuals.

It's even shittier than the P76 I drove in Oz (must get me one of those, uhum, deffo).

I think I will pass the Lada on. Three friends of mine asked me whether they can have it for one of those gumball rallyes. To Moscow, of all places, would you believe it now. That's not a place to go to, it's a place to run away from, for all I know.
