Indeed, the landlord sounds like a greedy, fickle, rent gouging cunt.

So like every other fucking storage landlord that has to be dealt with. I feel sorry for the owners.

I think there's an indoor storage area too, filled with the majority of the cars. I agree though, 100k odd since July is a massive piss take.

All seems a bit spurious to me, as you say the £100k figure sounds nonsensical, and no-one abandons model T fords and Escort RS2000's nowadays, it just doesn't happen. I'd love to get the proper story off one of the two parties though.

Seems to read a bit 'internet lawyer-ish' to me. Landlord wants tennant out, tennant doesn't want to go but is forced. Tennant refuses to pay trumped up charges, landlord joins an Audi forum where some cock kneed e-conan tells everyone how he sued eBay because they took too much storage space on his hard drive, so landlord fancies his chances.

Look at the cars left behind, whoever bought these won't be shy of a few quid, so is almost certainly no mug and almost certainly would have money to fight his corner. Fordperv is on the money here I reckon, probably the landlord being greedy.

To be honest that storage charge isn't too bad compared to some. The recovery company next to my workshop charge £20 per car per day. He has charged the bloke less than £10 per car per day. Remember there is over 100 cars and they have been there since July. I don't suppose he is too worried about the money he just wants them shifted and one way to get people motivated to move their stuff is to charge them storage fees. It doesn't seem to of worked in this case. He will have to take them to court and once he gets his judgement he can auction it all off to get his money. He is lucky that some of the cars are worth anything I have a company owe me 4 grand and have abandoned 4 cars with me since june. Not one of them is worth more than scrap value and I would have to pay to get them sent to auction. Then if they don't make enough money to cover the costs I would have to pay for it. Very annoying really as I could do with the space

Given the general dimwit public view of old cars, I'm just quite pleased to see that there will at least be an opportunity for people to buy them and they're not all going straight for frag.
