I am thinking of haveing a bit of a clearout as i just know im not going to get round to fixing all my shite

i thought i would slim down the doubles first so does anyone have any idea what sort of price a 79 bugeye starlet is worth its a 1200cc 5 speed,

i have had it for nearly ten years so have no idea what to ask for the old gall

I think these must be considered GR9 4 TRIFTIN, hence you may be able to get a bag or even more for it.

Any photos? A friend has recently bought a slight tatty but original 44000 mile 1981 1.2S model in black for £1000 with mot if that helps.

Isn't a '79 Starlet the type that Irish rally boys love? I'd be lobbing that on eBay pronto.

photos as and when i uncover it from the depths of my dungeon

not so sure they are that popular with the rally boys as its the later ones that people go mad for the square headlight models. i could be wrong though

Indeed, makes no difference to the model. Any KP61 is desirable in those quarters although perhaps a 5-door auto less so!

If yours is a 3-door manual, bung it on eBay and name your price basically.

Though personally I would hope that in years to come there are at least a couple surviving so we can see what they were like before they were all bollocksed up by stock car enthusiasts.

Even when values of 3drs were on the rise a few years ago, I struggled to sell my tidy 5dr 1.2 manual for very much – in the end I think it went for £500-600 with some alloys and new tyres (but then I had only paid £300 for it off a garage, with a new MoT!).

It went to the same chap (Terry) who Trigger mentioned, pleasingly he still has it and it’s in better condition than ever with just a different set of wheels. I think the price Terry paid for his 3dr was perhaps lower than market value, but likewise he didn’t rob the owner either.

Yeah, they are popular in Autograss circles.

I reckon all this talk about them being worth packets is a load of old bollocks tbh. I'll give you £150 for it, can't say fairer than that.

No? ah well....

Well finally managed to spare some time to get the old gal out of the garage where it has been sleeping for the last 8 years or so,

So here she is sitting in her stable awaiting the day of reckoning,

And here’s starlet number ones twin awaiting its fate, you can see why I need to shift one on to pastures new, space is at a premium.

And after fitting a battery she burst straight into life and drove out into the fresh air for a photo shoot, who said stale petrol wont run an engine,

Check out the blueness of the interior typical 70s Japan shame no carpet though

And here she is tucked back up probably for the next eight years

This is what I love about my jap cars, wake them from any length of lay up and they drive fine apart from the brakes binding a bit that is. maybe i should just rent another garage some ware and stick it in for the next decade,
