Sorry I missed this one, but I wouldn't have been much company. :(

Looking forward to next year's meets.

The parking regulations are strict in Dunfermline, you have to park in alphabetical order. This is the V section of the car park.

Thankfully there were no regulations on parking straight, or even in the bay...

A meeting in Cumbernauld in February?

I'll put the kettle on for you all! (It's my home town - sadly...)

Yeh we met at Broadwood farm carvery at the end of October and the general consensus is that this could be a regular meet. Gonna take a holiday in December and January and resume Shiteness in February at the carvery. Feel free to pop along, will be asking for numbers again nearer the time so keep your eye on the Scotoshite thread for more details.

Will do - a good idea and a chance to meet the people behind the posts. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

My New Years resaluton will be to go to the Cumbernauld meet!. 3rd time lucky. Like the red Montego. I am a sucker for those vehicles so i am!

Joseph what do you drive so I can look out for you?

A silver VW Polo - yes I know, I've completely missed the Autoshite spirit! :)

A Fiat 131, an original Seat Ibiza, an MG Montego, a Rover 827, and rounded off with a phase I Volvo 440. Heaven is a place on earth!

Posted

I'd be up for that, even just for a rake about. A 745 in Neighbour Wowing Jewish Racing Gold to rob panels off would be better...

Posted

That does sound like a wee jolly to be undertaken at some point

Posted

I d be up for that work permitting. Even for a wee nose poke about!. Early Maestro with the Lcd dash! Looks like some rear tail lights for interesting stuff too! Even an early Seat Ibiza. Ithought they had all rusted away!

Posted

Any Volvo 700/900 content would be most helpful for practical purposes, but a poke about would be fun anyway...

I'm in!

Winter is the best time to go as there is no weeds to stop you getting to the proper chod, alas no other volvos apart from the 440 already shown. I do believe there is 1 or 2 740's in u pull it, think theyre white.

Thats in Dunny? Where? Some great stuff although never seen a Monte in that colour and the digi dash is almost emotional!!

Back of the hospital, It's funny because it looks like it's out in the sticks but you can see some of them from the main road including this E30

Most definitely in for this jolly!!!

Will bring along the tools, hubby and father for a good old rake around.

Bagsy the Montego!!! If these pics are recent I can get quite a lot off it to use for ours!!!

What Saturday are we planning then? We cant do 22nd but this Saturday or next is fine.

I've passed that place a few times... anything Cortina shaped in there by any chance?

This Saturday would be fine for me, had another look round today with a guy who's on retro rides, He ended up taking the montego steering wheel and quite a few vintage headlights and grills. Nisfan took the montego boot spoiler, a momo steering wheel with boss and a couple of golf bits for a total of £12.

There was apparently Cortinas, mantas and various other classics a couple of years back but SEPA made them clear it out so It's mainly just 90's tat now.

Well that suits us. Just give us a time and a place and we will be there. May be worth while having a meeting point and all going in together unless its easy to find.

Posted

That does sound like a jolly. Let's see how many folk we can harrang into it!

Posted

Well we are a definite! That at least 3 ppl unless my mum wants to come along! Looks like im gona be busy filling the skoda boot!!! 11am is fine and would be good just to get together to head in that way we can't get lost! Lol!!! Will make sure to bring the tools and some money as it looks like there are quite a few things I can use, including that Austin grille!! Can't wait to get rummaging!

Posted

Won't make this after all folks... Volvo has developed an alarming wheel wobbly/shake/general nastiness around 30mph so I'm reluctant to go far before getting it mended.

Sorry.

I'll endeavour to be there however don't expect my presence. Backshift tomorow evening and I'll like just sleep all day Saturday
