Ford Thames spotted in east London

That looks pretty straight. Vans command pretty good money these days, mainly because there aren't a lot of 'em left.

Isn't it strange when you see a car/ van you haven't seen for ages...I really don't remember them having the swoopy door bottom. Very nice :D

Me neither. What's that about, considering the Anglia and Anglia estate didn't have it?

A quick Google suggests it was to clear high kerbs. You were f*cked if you had a car then? Never noticed that detail before!

Does look ace. I love the 'povo' Anglia snout.

Yeah it was so you could swing the door open and not smash it on the kerb. Good point on the car. But then a standard Anglia isn't actually low enough that the door would ever hit the kerb. But then roads used to have loads of camber and I remember some used to have double kerbs around here as well...

My wife managed to find a nice high double kerb with my Dodge Caliber when we lived near Hitchin a few years ago!

That IS lovely! I heard the other day that someone spotted a River Thames in London!! Where are they all coming from?

Shacklewell Lane, Hackney.

Full marks.
