cms206 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 if someone showed me that invoice to support a service history i would think they were taking the piss.............no detail.......round number....getaway! It has had a second hand 'box with warranty - it was banging like a motherfucker before. A new 'box from Rimmer Brothers was apparantly £1700+vat so a grand fitted was his choice. Boss pays everything with cash... from memory they've had one of his many 400s in before (possibly HGF on P472 at 192k) and he likes the informal nature of service...

kinkersaab Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 Gave the old Rover a good valet today. Came up good eh? So far about 600 miles in my ownership, no issues at all, I actually quite like it despite being half as old as i should be to own it.

trigger Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Do you wear a mask and hide out on quiet dirt tracks? Looking at yours even I'm now fancying a 75! That's cleaned up beautifully by the way.

Are they as comfy and relaxing as people say? I wonder if i could stay awake in one on a 40mph traffic commute

kinkersaab Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 it is very comfy and it handles very well too. The more I drive it the more i like it, however, i happened to jump in the Jag today and drive it, and although they look like they would feel similar, the jag somehow makes the Rover feel like a thrown together heap of shite... so, for ultimate enjoyment, dont own an Xj8 and a rover 75 at the same time would be my advice. The fleet at home is now up to 19 I think, gonna have to shift some on....so as to make way for some more.

Split_Pin Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 That's unbelievable value for money. It looks mint. I've totally got a hankering for one of these ATM, but would def have to be an auto like yours.
