Christ on a bike!:lol: I like the bit about his partner complaining about the noise of the electric buffer, I'd wager its not the only thing they complain about :lol:

Now that's what you call 'time on your hands!'PS: what's this 'thanks' business about?...."vxrmarcOCD Sufferer (Obsessive Car Detailer) vxrmarc's Avatar Join Date: Sep 2006Location: kentPosts: 1,408Thanks: 20Thanked 55 Times in 17 Posts "

I don't know but thanks for bringing it to my attention. I'm thankful I know there's ways of counting how many thanks you've made and perhaps how many people have thanked you and feel I'd better make a start in case it gets brought in here.Cheers! I mean, Thanks!

Detailing a vacuum cleaner? Time to increase the dosage methinks.

Still, at least it is just a joke. Admittedly a long drawn out one, but hey.

They make me want to drive my car through a nice muddy puddle and leave it that way for two and a half months until I half-heartedly clean the accrued road muck off with Tesco value car shampoo and a bucket of tepid water.

That "vxrmarc" bloke is the same fella everyone on RR was taking the piss out of a year back, for having that crazy detail done on his brand-new Astra VXR, remember?I actually visit that site from time to time to pick up tips, got a bit of OCD on car cleaning and have a Porter Cable polisher, power washer and snow foam lance. Some people on there are jockeys, but some stuff is truly impressive - do a search for "1998 Astra basket case" to see what I mean.

I've heard of this site before and the name said it all really. As said at least it was a joke and there are no doubt some good tips to be had on the site from some helpful folks :) But there are also some real self righteous turd-burglars I have encountered over the years who live for that site and look down their noses at any car that is less than 'perfect'.

that is the win.... I read the original VXR thread and assumed he was some kind of prat - brand new car, detailing, daft levels of attention. no reason to dislike him I know but it gave off the wrong impression :)to do such a p'sstake of yourself makes it all better, i laughed hard at that! and to put the dyson in the boot of your car and take it for some photos in a carpark, a la crooze site gallery, gets the thumbs up from me!

I nearly shit myself laughingt at the atmospheric car park shots.Sadly though, this kind of humour goes straight over the heads of some........ :D

There is an absolutely class piss-take of that 'VXRMarc' character by someone over on Barryboys, where some lad 'details' his parka jacket. You've gotta read VXRMark's story first though, of when he first got his new Astra and detailed it to get the full benefit. Well worth the effort like, it caused me to LOL uncontrollably for some time.

Thanks! The thing is he might be taking the pee out of himself but at the end of the day he has still spent quite some time and effort on cleaning a Dyson. He's probably (really) dead chuffed he has a clean hoover. The parka episode Bo11ox mentions probably took 5 minutes.Oh, thanks by the way.
