Anyone fancy swapping their motah for my 190D?

Continuously variable transmission I think. Rather than switching between actual gears automatically. Like a DAF?*

*I've been wrong before. More than once.

Cheers, Tone.

I assume it's a 'non-CVT' then as it of changes gear itself. It does have a 'sport' mode though which just means it doesn't actually go any quicker, it just sounds like an NSR125 Honda and wants to introduce the pistons to the bonnet.

What's the crack with that Audi of yours Billy; is the pump still fucked? That would be a rather more tempting proposition than the Corsette...

Flippin eck. Which bit? It all looks bloody boring, it's the driving of a 2cv or Dyane with 100mph potential which is exciting

Well I for one would like pics, location and possibly a price :D

Chassis very sound, some surface rust. The steel used in the early seventies was quite different from the later shit used by PSA for 2cvs. The seams are not spreading, the underside is sound with no holes. No welding anywhere. The two front shockers look like they've been replaced - not rusty and still with the labels on.

Those of you who are Citroen fetishists will note the hubs with mounting points for the batteurs, the lovely shiny brown effect created by the use of now banned, highly toxic chemicals which preserved them well, the lack of pigeon shit welding on the arms, an added plate for the chassis mounted h/brake and the fact there is a fuel tank when I said there wasn't. It's a plaggy 2cv tank, not the original.

The engine and box are both sound and went very well in a GSa I had. It's the biggest flat four made by Citroen so potentially a very fast 2cv or Dyane - the Ami Super had a 1000cc lump which took it almost to 90mph.) The box is a 5 speeder. Engine had belts and seals about 10,000 miles ago.

£170 for the engine and box, £270 for the chassis.

As for the 2cv body, that was offered only in exchange for the 190...

Btw, the Golf has been lent out to a mate who pranged his own car yesterday.

No worries!

Another one of Liverpool Council's fine ideas...

Probably a bit late to ask but is the Merc for swapsies only or would pound notes be acceptable?

Have fancied an oil burning 190 for a while now but only have an 04 Reg Ford Ka to offer.....................

No, thought not

Yeah, sort of got one lined up (if/when I get the money to buy it) and then it'll just be a case of me fitting some tyres and it'll pass the MOT. Trouble is it's very unlikely to get anywhere near being done until the Corsa has gone (and this time that wasn't a hint  ) as I'll have to sell that first.

Had a few offers as it goes, but if I offload it then I have nothing to go to Chumley in so I'll get next weekend out of it then bang it on eBay or something.

It is a bit of an experiment; usually when I sell a car before obtaining the replacement there is a sudden dearth of any car available that I have any desire to own. That said, if no suitable swapsies occur, the next step will be to sell, and I shall consider you top of the queue.

Cav, thanks for the tip off. I will PM the guy if swappage is not forthcoming and Mr Clamper decides against it.

Cheers.
