Spotted a story on BBC news about our local stations 30th aniversary.

 

Check out the Cortina radio car. They used this until it fell to bits in the 90's.

Its replacement was just as shite:

Our BX is ex-BBC although not the radio dept, most of the top stripe came off the first time I pressure washed it but the lower ones are still there.

The beeb in glasgow still had a C registered mk5 cortina estate (how rare???) as a radio car in 1997 when i was on a work placement there. 30 k on the clock although rusted to buggery.

 

I work at Forth 1 in Edinburgh now and sadly theres no chod here... the oldest is a branded Y reg transit van
