costadelglosta Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Hi I've been a lurker here for a while and in my line of work (solicitors) I come across quite a few vehicles which have been locked up in garages for a few years. I have a garaged red 1993 peugeot 205 diesel 3 door to dispose of and have been offered very little for scrap. It has been locked in a garage for over 3 years. I have freed off the seized handbrake and pumped up the tyres. The coolant reservoir was empty so I put some water in and tried to turn it over using a charged battery. It was very sluggish on the starter and I could not get it to start. If you are interested please make an offer, bearing in mind a local yard offered me £50! I'd rather see it put to use for parts or revived than just fragged. I will try and get some pics if anyone is interested? Cheers Ed PS It has the Lucas injection pump, bodywork is straight, has tow bar and a bicycle carrier to attach. I own a 87 Scirocco, 2 x SWB series 2a Landys, 97 C230K Kompressor and Micra K11
warren t claim Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Much wantage! When does it have to be collected by?
retro80sboy Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 must admit im a big fan of the 205. Had one last summer for a couple of months and loved it. You can absolutly throw them around, great fun.
Father Ted Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Not only am I in "The Hall" but I have space on the driveway..... Actually, I might be interested in the bike carrier if no one else is
costadelglosta Posted April 26, 2012 Author Posted April 26, 2012 HiThe car is in a garage in Longridge just outside Preston. I have the keys and log book, plus a warranty booklet and original 205 brochure. I am looking for a slight improvement on £50. It is red, the body appears straight and it has denim seats under the covers. Someone please make an offer? Ideally £100 and you can take it. I would have bought it myself but too many projects, I couldn't get it to start, and SWMBO said I would be sleeping in it! Cheers Ed
costadelglosta Posted April 26, 2012 Author Posted April 26, 2012 Preferably within a week or two or the solicitor in charge will be breathing down my neck.
costadelglosta Posted April 26, 2012 Author Posted April 26, 2012 Plenty more shite to offload in future no doubt. Regrettably I sent a nice k10 micra over the bridge a while back. Ed
Father Ted Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 If storage is an issue I may be able to help for a while whilst one of our shite-ists can pick up from near Preston (Im assuming that Im quite nearby based on the Ed's "handle".)Im wondering if this might be the occupant of a garage I have been passing for a few years and pondering its contents... Recent activity on the house suggest its being prepped for sale...
costadelglosta Posted April 26, 2012 Author Posted April 26, 2012 Hi The car is in Longridge, I'm down in Altrincham. Keys are in the ignition and the car is ready to move. So am I right in thinking Mr Claim gets first dibs? Ed

costadelglosta Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 Hi Last chance for this non running diesel PUG before I have to get it taken to the scrappers. Any serious offers please £50 or more and it is yours. Ed
Father Ted Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 What happened to Warren getting this one? Offer of temporary layover at my gaff still stands if moving the car is an issue.
Mr_Bo11ox Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Come on LT! A-frame on standby, even got a big-ass battery you can borrow
