All change at Tonka Towers

Well the Acclaim left on Wednesday leaving behind some money and a tatty MX-5 which I sold straight away to the guy next door to work, bit sad at losing the Triumph but my son is an apprentice at a bodyshop 18 miles from home and next month they go on shifts (but not him) so I needed to get him a car and help with the insurance costs as he will no longer get a lift.

This is the Mazda which was at home for just 12 hours before it left.

And this is young Master Elliott with his pride and joy courtesy of the Bank of Mum & Dad. he's like a dog with two tails after we spent all day checking it over and cleaning it out, it was bad!

So that's 20 years of lifts I can claim back now starting with the pub on Friday..... :D

Nice one! :D I think sprayed steel wheels with chrome rim embellishers look much better than plastic wheel trims.

Is that Zippy sitting on the windscreen? 8)

I concur. Might have to try that on my Starlet.....hmmm, little project coming on!

I do like those wheels on the K11.

Personally I dont think the silver wheels with centre caps can be beaten and thats what I have on mine

GR8 cars but moat drivers die of boredom rather than old age.

I actually passed away 2 years ago, but I havent stopped moving yet.

Nice one. Love the Micra, does it have one of those 'bands' on the steel wheels that every modifier keeps banging on about? Personally I like my wheel trims as I'm pretty much into keeping cars pretty much factory/dealer-specced.

One thing you might able to do is bash in some rear speakers ala my car:

There should be a connection in the boot on the right-hand just by the rear light.

We should have some kind of Autoshite Supportive Wife award! Yours is well in the running with choices like that!

Wow. A Jago Samurai! (sp?). I always liked these for some reason, even though the headlamps look like an afterthought.

fuggin hell, your doris is a saint! More compassionate than Mother Theresa I'll bet! My wife is ok with chod but did get a bit 'hot under the collar' when we tried to do a weeks shopping with kids, child seats, dog etc in the Yugo 45 but if I turned up with that red thing I think she'd be off faster than you could say 'but it's fibregalss dear'

nice one with the lad's K11 - My first car was a Datsun Nissan Sunny and it was brilliant - love nissans - indestructible, go for ever, can be abused horribly. Can't beat the feeling of getting your first wheels! Maybe that is why so many of us are hopeless compulsive shiteists - we are seeking that feeling once again!

I was quite happy for her to keep the Geep but after riding in a "Samuri" last year she decided it might work as a daily driver so here we are 2 weeks from our first major Club event of the year and she's presented me with a vehicle that hasn't driven in over 2 years, has half the interior missing, looks like sh*t (and that's if it had immaculate paintwork  ) and she wants it up and running by this weekend, MOT within a month and tidied up and ready for the road for mid-June .........

I am not sure if i like that. It might have been the shock of first seeing it.

It could be like an album that you buy that you dont like and so dont listen to again for ages, that you pick up again 3 months later and love. I did that with the Pixies Bossanova back in 1990. Whether this comes under the same umbrella I will have to wait and see.

Yeah. Ummm, Yeah.

I think I like that.

Yeah. Yeah I do.

Can I just ask WTF is going on with the Zafira wheels?

Not sure, as you can see the whole thing was colour coded white, it belongs to the next door neighbour of Paul who had just bought our Geep, after leaving our house they went to the other side of Doncaster to put a deposit on another Jago Geep (V6 powered 8) ) for Martin (the Zafira owner) Paul already has two, the purple one is for his daughter... it's a Jago thing
