Roof rack/box needed

Recommended Posts

I'm due to go on a trip soon, and having an extra member of the family means that our cars aren't really big enough.

I could probably get around the problem by taking a roof box, but on which car and how?

My Mercedes doesn't seem to have any roof rack mounting points so how would I fit something?

Or do I take the Daewoo and suffer its shiteness? (After driving the Merc, the 'Woo feels spectacularly feeble and wobbly)

Does anyone have a roof box that would fit either going cheap?

Or even to borrow?

I've got a roof box you could borrow but I think I'm miles away from you (I'm in Chester) but sing out if you want a lend of it.

The plastic strips on the roof of the the Merc are hiding the mounting points for the roof rack.

Really? - the strip runs all the way down to the bottom of the windscreen!

How can you not get everything into the boot of a Merc???? Is the pushchair enormous or something?

If its an enormous pushchair causing your space issues could you just leave it at home and get a baby carrier?
