whats the going rate for between 1350-1400KG?

 

Got an old saab 900 I want to weigh in nice set of alloys MOT etc but needs an exhaust some brake work. Thought about sticking it on ebay but the GM models are worthless....

Not sure of the going rate per ton at the mo but my sister got £150 at the local scrappy for her vauxhall corsa.

 

Just sold my wife's galant on fleabay, started bidding at scrap value(£175), had an offer for that much straight away from trader, told him no, I could get that scrap and cash the tax in, he slammed the phone down on me.

 

People still think you can buy cars for that money, well you can't, scrap value is just as good, with the added bonus of not having to worry about dickheads being unrealistic about their £200 purchase after they have driven away "this car has some scratches / heated screen doesnt work / it needs new tyres".

Just got £165 per ton this morning from Ron Hull's in Rotherham - 1400kg should net you £230.

Yep, £165/tonne. The S70 netted me £225

I got £185 for a Vauxhall Vectra today and £200 for a Vauxhall Omega. Birnam in Glasgow.

Birnams pay well up here as long as it's got a cat IIRC; my boss took a load of ferrous in his trailer down to Christies in Renfrew and got about £200/tonne earlier in the week.
