Aw shit Nigel, it would have been bad enough if they'd all been 2004 Laguna wheels or something. Looking at the list, it's deeply, deeply depressing.

I've emailed every yard within 30 miles (with a read receipt) -but cant think they're going to fess up- and lose at least a grand -unless confronted. I discovered today that Sussex has a 'Stolen Metals Squad -(its getting that bad down here) so I'll be tracking them tomorrow.

 

Most Police Stations down here are now ''Open by Appointment'' (-couldnt make it up -really) but I found a 'biggy' open Saturday morning. Female civilian was a bit non-plussed, but I gave her the initial list- & I'll be out looking tomorrow. Got a Crime Number -just in case.

 

I've 2 slim chances- that the dope hasn't yet got shot -but I reckon that happened Friday morning; or he realises that they'll be worth more, he' s greedy -& advertises them someplace.

 

I dont hold out much hope -but then I felt the same when the 66 Datsun got nicked- and I got that back within 72hrs.

 

Bastard just knocked a 6ft fence panel out. That takes some breathtaking arrogance in a residential area. Time for cameras, lights & fortifications; but you have to wonder whom I entrusted- & has, (perhaps unwittingly) betrayed me. It certainly wasnt chance.

Can you get a alarm that calls your phone?

And cameras that you can view from your phone?

 

My alarm went off and called my phone last summer, but when I called plod (not 999, just normal number) they refused to go and have a look without "further evidence" so I am now looking at web connected cameras.

 

To their credit it was actually a false alarm.
