They all are going to be restored.

Those are the ones where restoration is in progress:

Excellent work there

Love Spot-On.....getting em cheap is difficult though, even in bad shape as the subject matter was sometimes unique compared to Corgi/Dinky stuff.   Got some myself to restore over the winter, including a Holy Grail Bedford S tanker.   Better be careful with that one!

They aren't cheap, and they aren't cheap to restore.

For many of them, you will need parts, and that means, glass, front bumper/grille, rear bumper,

which easily amounts to £12 per car. Add this to the purchase price, and add your paint expenses,

and you easily end up in the £40-50 range for a restored one. Still a far cry from a minter, though,

which all are comfortably three digits.

My holy grail would be the Mulliner Coach, but I haven't seen even a bad one in ages.

I used to have a battered Tonibel CA ice cream van by Spot On, even they nowadays go for mental money

Mulliner coach was a master-piece.   And, come to that, the Tonibell Bedford.   At least the earlier castings don't require all those expensive chrome bumper/light mouldings.   I think the bits I bought for the Bedford came to over £20 - catwalk, landing gear etc.   I am still deliberating whether to do it in Esso livery as they ran out of our local refinery when I was a kid.  The thing with these toys of course is the constant scale which makes the commercials so expensive/appealing....

I'm still looking for a Tonibell as well.

Well, Spot-Ons are expensive, no matter how you look at it.

I bet they weren't cheap when new. I mean, even the Corgis cost a lot of dosh when I was a kid.

The money my parents must have spent on that stuff!

Where do you guys buy your spares?

Spares I get from Steve Flowers model supplies - he has a web page but no online ordering.   You have to faff about with cheques and its not desperately quick.   Or BTS Mouldings down in Sussex.   I had a contact number but cant find it right now - I usually see him at Beaulieu Autojumble in September with a big list for my winter rebuilds.    Ebay is good for immediate needs such as something I have bought that has a bit missing and I want to display it without doing much else to it.

Those spot on models are brill. I've always wanted the BMC stuff and the MK1 Jag.

I predominantly use Steve Flowers as well and actually enjoy his last century way of doing business.

Hay Jman were did you get that little lot or are they something you have had for a while?

I'm not sure about these driverless cars. Then again, an automated Golf is hardly likely to wander across all four lanes of the M62 at 90 mph texting his mate. Horses for courses.

An automated Golf would probably powered by smug. Or an Apple Mac.

I prefer them unrestored like that, just like I do with real cars. That Amazon is a little peach.

How is your budget related to a Tekno Volvo potentially lurking in my dungeon, which will be handed over to you,

should I ever dig it up?

My collection is quite diverse now, and this is a small selection of it, with a suitable shite backdrop. Needs a miniature Coursavior on the forecourt now trying to flog some shite nobody wants :P
