Idiot Farmer Insurance Woes

Recommended Posts

My dad is a farmer, my brother is a farmer, 3 of my cousins are farmers, my girlfriend is a farmer, at least half my mates are farmers, 90% of the customers at work are farmers ...

All* the farmers around here have sold their lovely farmhouses at a massive profit, have converted their barns / stables / outbuildings into lovely houses, built a handful more posh / upmarket houses in their courtyard, have employed folk to layer their broken fences into natural, growing barriers of spectacular natural beauty and leased their land to other bigger farmers & are now off living the life of retired riley.

* a couple - and my post is meant to be in lighthearted jest.

As much as I love coming onto Autoshite to read about peoples opinions on farmers, if anyone has any more points they wish to raise about cost of livestock, foot and mouth disease, subsidies, equine fellatio or inbreeding please may i suggest you post it on here where you can discuss farmers and farming to your hearts content.

I drove though a farmers fence in the GT6 a couple of years back and ended up paying him £150 to get it repaired. He said i was not the first and I would not be the last but appreciated the fact that I knocked on his door and told him.

This guy sounds like a bellend. I would follow everyones advice and inform the police accordingly.

Yep, that certainly is the best form of cash crop

And that's not even discussing Mobile Phone towers and Wind Turbines for the real ca$h cows of the 21st Century...

Christmas eve 2004, I slid my MK 3 Astra CD Saloon on a muddy road and went through a fence and ended up in the farmers field.

It broke a couple of pieces of makeshift fencing yet the farmer put a £600 claim in on my insurance for damages. Total con man, I took pictures and what not and sent them to the insurance company telling them they were being conned. I got no response back and they paid him regardless.

Soon after the 'fence' was again patched up with a couple of pieces of timber ready for the next car to go through it. About a £10 fix at most.

It wouldnt suprise me if the twat was shovelling mud onto the road himself on that corner. Beats working for a living.
