The great Herald / Rover 75 adventure......

Yeah, I put a couple of nuts on each of the rocker cover studs and looped some strong rope around them. You'd be welcome to borrow my hoist but I'm a bit far away.

It wasn't the worst thing I inflicted on my poor neighbours, that honour goes to the time I accidentally filled their house with cellulose paint fumes. Still feel bad about that one.

If you get mega stuck we can probably dismantle SCTSH_ANDY'S and bring that round.

RUST 8)

Yes rust, anyway !

Since the sun was out, i decided to attack that fruity front outrigger, then possibly tack-on the kick panel (As it sat on the coffee table annoying thy mother)

Shonky pictures are as follows:

Peppered outrigger - BE GONE

IYA LOVE - New, Fresh, Listerine Clean !

And stupidly, i forgot to take pictures of the fresh metal 'tacked-in' ... so have Isopon 182 painted Kick Panel

Work left to do:

Remove cylinder head (Still !!) - Then have it sent off for Hardened valve seats and a light skim.

Get radiator re-cored

Weld side railes on (Both sides)

Repair boot floor & weld on rear boot outrigger (As it's just tacked for the moment)

Bleed brakes

Put engine back together, test brakes, mot and register

Did i mention i've got an apprenticeship, with college and on-site work to do ?

Deffo pass an MOT that. I'll book it in with Billy the tester on Monday.

What a poorly little Herald ! Many would have scrapped one for lesser offences, but full marks for the determination and effort to transform a basket case back into a fun solid classic to give many more years of pleasure
