Autoshite Phone Card Dump!

Recommended Posts

Posted

Having always done minor maintenance and repairs on my cars, and never owning anything newer than 7 years old, quite a lot of my parts have been scavenged from the local scrapyard. The majority of the photos on my phone are taken there, when spotting amusing, unusual, old or wasteful cars.

As well as this, there are the occasional 'car related' or autoshite pictures too.

Due to the way photobucket uploads my pictures they are back to front, with the newest ones first....

More the sort of phonecard I was expecting.

But nice pics anyway!

^^ lol, that was what I thought too! Nice photos, but like you say sad to see the waste of so many perfectly good cars.

Father Ted, that phone card is much better than my micro SD!

However, I must confess to feeling ever so slightly let down. Your subject line led me to belive that I would be viewing a large pile of late 80's spec BT Phone Card Payphones with maybe some nasty green phone cards as well - perhaps a large bunch of the free ones they used to give away with pisspoor newspaper "Today"

I enjoyed that! Where is the N. Wales Museum? I think it might be on my next Welsh driving holiday list of places to go.

Cheers Scooters and DSDriver. Sorry the title was misleading!

DS Driver, the museum is tucked away in the town of Denbigh and if you want a map i'll sort one out for you. The picture i took was outside the main part as it was closed that day - theres plenty more apart from festering Reliants.

Yup I was hoping that someone was giving away a stack of carefully-hoarded used phonecards from the early 1990s. Less mainstream than stamp collecting and therefore more fun :)

Mercury please.

Oh and nice spots - shame about the older stuff in scrapyards. I wonder how many were cleared out after Grandad died.

Thanks that would be nice. I thought the Reliants were visitors cars. :)

Cheers, noted in holiday file. Hopefully we will get further than the Elan Valley without the exhaust falling off this year.

I saw the Argus sign and was wondering. I used to to to Angmering Oval all the time, have not been for years and thought that was a pretty big change.

Flippin' eck, what's this???! What are you doing to the oil, heating it and mixing it?

If its the photo with the Argus sign then it is Arlington in Sussex.

This was an experiment in filtering the veg oil. Heat it up and send it through a ford escort van diesel filter. Slow but effective.
