Another day, another Rover 75 for sale...

Anyone want my 75? I'd been hanging on to it in case I needed a tow car (don't really want to use the CX for towing until I get the gearbox issues sorted), but my new Transit van has a towbar so the 75 is now surplus to requirements.

It's a 2-litre V6 petrol Club with a manual gearbox. Don't know where the Club comes in the 75 range - it has velour seats rather than leather, but it does have all electric windows, climate control etc. It's done 120-odd thousand miles. It drives well and isn't too bad on fuel. It's not the quickest 2-litre saloon I've ever driven, but it does sound nice when given some beans. MoT is till late July and tax till the end of March.

Negative points - it's generally in fairly good condition for its age but the driver's door mirror is hanging down somewhat (I broke it trying to fold it in  ) and there's a bit of rust bubbling on one of the door window frames. The interior could do with a bit of a valet as it smells somewhat of dog, and there's a small fag burn on one of the front seats.

Here's some pics.

I'd like to fit one of these 2.0 KV6's in an R8.

Well, buy this and you can live the dream! Then R8 engine into the Maser, Maser engine into the Avenger. What could possibly go wrong?

Mega value!

I prefer the velour to the leather in these ...more like a suede really and easy to clean...2 hours after collecting my company 75 in 2002 my Cain terrier chundered all over the passenger seat which was very easy to clean and absorbed no odour

Hey Wuvvum, is this still on offer? I blinked and missed this thread the other week. Whereabouts in the country are you?

I'm looking for a bargainous motorway cruiser that also doubles as a towcar to help me ship a motorbike and various non-runner cars about. This would appear to fit the bill in a glove-like fashion 8)

Yep, it's still here - not got round to advertising it anywhere else as yet. I'm about 15 miles NE of Norwich.

Great! Thanks. I'm definitely interested but will need to think through how best to collect it, as the logistics of my life are a bit complicated at the moment - will send you a pm in the next day or so. (If you get offered cash by someone else while I'm prevaricating I won't be offended :) .)
