Shite to avoid at all cost

A mate of mine has had a few Protons of that ilk.

Plus points are galvanised panels and extreme cheapness. Big minus point is the steering, which is devoid of any kind of feel.

They're generally referred to as "MPi"s here IIRC. Or Aerodeck if they're the hatchback one.

My Impian was ace, and I'd absolutely recommend one as a toy to anyone. 8)

I think it's cms206 that has these. I was going to say Krujoe as well but I think he has a bodykitted Lada Samara.

I think the Volvo seatbelt warning tick is possibly worse, I disabled mine the day I got it.

Tiff I've just realised, was your Avatar picture taken in Arran?

There is an old house near to where we stay every year in Whiting Bay that used to have a lot of old cars around it.

An E-reg Sherpa (my avatar at one point), an Opel Kadett D (MK1 Astra) A Sierra Estate and the 2 most interesting, a very rusty silver Fiat X19 YSG909W and a black MK1 Mazda RX7.

Only the Sherpa is left.

yes, it was Arran. A good mate of mine used to live on the island. :D I have a pic of the RX7 somewhere.

This is brilliant. I want one even more now, that noise is beautifully shit.

The previous owner disabled the seatbelt clicker on my S70. Shame, I like the madness of it.

Get a Laguna II with a working set of tyre pressure sensors and a voice synthesizer, then you'll know what annoyance is. "Warning, front right tyre check the pressure. Front left tyre, pressure abnormal, slow down! Re-adjust pressure as soon as possible. Rear right tyre is flat, change the wheel". FUCK OFF WOMANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Ha, no way! I walk past that house every year up to Glenashdale and looked on at those cars. The rear screen of the Mazda, with its integrated wiper is still leaning against the wall of the house

One year, think it was about 2005, the Fiat and Mazda had been dragged out of the garden and I presume that was when you got your pic :)

Here is the Sherpa in the same spot :)

Yup, would have been around that time! I met the guy through shite... he scrapped a lancia Delta 1300, which I rescued from the scrappys, and had it MOT'd and on the road the next day,and he spotted my wife parking it at Morrisons.... he's been a customer of mine ever since, after I sold him a Polo Coupe S which he's used every day for the past 7 or 8 years.

My god do I hate warning beepers. YES I KNOW THE KEY IS IN THE IGNITION. THAT IS BECAUSE I FUCKING HAVEN'T TAKEN IT OUT

Maybe we could do what Top gear did with engine noises and their theme tune. What is the Autoshite theme tune and could we do it with shite car noises?

I think this is the Autoshite theme tune.

No but I saw on on the M1 the other day. Northbound, Hemel

Don't hear anything about these Protons any more. I wonder if there is any interest in them?

I really want one of those, and I will have one one day, once I've created a bit of space for one.

You won't need a lot of space....

Use a brush and shovel to get it into place.....
