bigstraight6 Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Went to a small classic car gathering at the Bradworthy transport museum in darkest Devon last weekend, here's a few snaps starting off with a beautiful Vauxhall 'ute imported from Aus....Little Fiat, with a very little engine....YUM! MK1 Zephyr/Zodiac....Mouldy BMC FFK lorry....GR8 4 goin slow....Lorries don't get much better looking than the ERF KV....Hanomag 'Komisbrot' (meaning 'Army loaf' due to the unfortunate motor looking rather like one!) the only one in Blighty apparently....One owner, 45,000 mile E28 525I....Useful cart type thing....I do like a nice Farina A40....Crawler....This thing is an Opperman cart, doesn't even have a drivers seat, stand and deliver!....Big AEC with a rather hidious design of cab....Some mystery remains....On the way home, stumbled across a rural garage with a rotten VX4/90 and Bristol....Couple of random spots from today, for the benefit of Sir Reginald Ritmo!....For the benefit of all patrons....
Guest Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Wow me likes Would be but I dont like the number plate style
Split_Pin Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Nice finds!I remember there was a similar Crawler machine abandoned at my local Country park years ago - I used to love sitting on its sprung seat as a wee boy
Torsten2001 Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 GR8 4 goin slow.... Was there a reg no on this little roller? Hanomag 'Komisbrot' (meaning 'Army loaf' due to the unfortunate motor looking rather like one!) the only one in Blighty apparently.... I wonder why it's RHD, they can't have imported them officially surely? Useful cart type thing.... This would be a Bonser I reckon! This thing is an Opperman cart, doesn't even have a drivers seat, stand and deliver!.... Stunning, I remember playing on the remains of one in Sheppey as a youth!
seth Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 I like a nice A40 too. On my list of cars to own...The Hyundai takes me back to the one the neighbour had in my late teens - He loved it!
mouseflakes Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 At that age, that Strada has been retro fitted with that early front end I guess? Better looking to my eyes - apart from the reg plate.
AnthonyG Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Excellent pics BS6 - love the Vauxhall ute. Dinky (the original company) did an Oppermann cart, complete with standing man operating it!
mk2_craig Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 The Hyundai is a late model "New Yorker" special edition, nice to see that at least one still survives, I think over here they've all gone now!
