New Greek shite pick-up soon to hit unsuspecting streets

The glorious country that is only capable of producing 'rooms to let', ouzo and overly salty cheese has now come up with a 'brand new' vehicle. In the late '70s/early 80s, Namco used to manufacture the Citroen Pony out of 2CV drivetrains and assorted rubbish from the PSA parts bin and elsewhere 39.jpg.

It actually was a clever little vehicle: cheap, reliable and versatile...like a very early Berlingo. They were doing reasonably well until production ceased due to trade unions demanding absurd wage increases, walking out for months and fucking it all up (sound familiar?).

The company remained in some sort of existence, AFAIK producing coin-operated gaming machines for bars etc. Thirty-odd years later, they have decided to return to the automotive market...Gentlemen, I present you with a vehicle that has achieved megashite status before even officially going on sale.

The NEW PONY 4- even the name is for WINNARZ.

Bastard child of a Kia Pride and a Tata pick-up? Wonder how they'll circumvent the silly pedestrian safety requirements etc- they will be selling them in Europe for around 7k Euros apiece, although they are hoping to mainly export them to Africa and the Middle East.

Actually haven't they just bodged the Kia Pride nose onto the old Pony?

They never made gaming machines. You're thinking of the Japanese Namco.

Are these lot responsible for 'Street Fighter II' on the Playstation? I', sure that said Namco on it.

Good question. They say it's all-new, but the term must surely be relative when they are using parts from the Mazda 121/Kia Pride of ages ago.

Ah-ha. Greeks are so lazy- can't even invent a unique name.

Regarding engines, there is a "technical specification" sheet that only says 1300-1400 churning out 70-90 horses, which means that they're still looking for something to put in there.

These are official press photos from the manufacturer so, YES, the wheel trims are standard fit!

Exactly! Sod the car, where do I get an "I heart pony" number plate? :D

That old Pony has Wolfrace Sonic alloys! It does look a real munter though. Eddyramrod will be eyeing one up now and drooling LOL

I suggest you hammer a smaller stereotype over that.
