legasoil96 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 I've bought too much shite and I can't afford to keep all. Despite this being the most economical in all fields it has to go, obviously. The best thing is the engine , the perkins prima which achieves 45mpg plus while sounding like a fordson major. It has done 232,000 miles but its quite powerful. I had the timing belt changed 6k miles ago. I spent a delightful few days last autumn luzzing weld over it to get it through it's MOT which will expire in October. The sills and arches etc are all fine. Better point out that the indicator lense looks like a greenhouse, the drivers door handle is a cable tie and the rear bumpers are 40% duct tape. The back door is also a bit dented where the wind blew it round the rear light. I still think it's quite tidy. Everyone tells me 'I had one of these' everywhere I go. I will sell it for £600 its in West Sussex . Scruffy Bodger, HillmanImp, stephen01 and 18 others 21
sierraman Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 THAT is a honey. My dad used to use these for work sometimes, you are right they shift well, there's no weight to them. Great van for someone that is. Body looks very straight as well, probably worth spending some time making it good cosmetically.
Supernaut Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 indicator lense looks like a greenhouse, the drivers door handle is a cable tie and the rear bumpers are 40% duct tape. Those are huge plus points on here, surely?! egg, purplebargeken and Skizzer 3
legasoil96 Posted March 26, 2018 Author Posted March 26, 2018 Those are huge plus points on here, surely?! I never thought to change them but a bloke who came to look earlier said I didn't describe these issues on the phone. It's just a shitey old van.
