"Daddy, Daddy, can you please stop photographing the car park so we can go and look at the monkeys.'

"There are monkeys?"

I wonder if the BMW and Renault arrived together. It's great to see cars getting to that age without being neglected or molested, especially the entry level BMW.

WOW! 316, non-injection with ultimate poverty spec: BMW ownership at it's very grimmest. Can you imagine someone ordering that new in 1986... they probably could have had a top-spec Montego or Cavalier for the same bread.

What a lovely facelift 21 saloon! So much better-proportioned than the hatchback.

Don't be fooled into thinking that the bus is actually 26 years old - the chassis is - but it would have been re-bodied in the early 1990s. This is how it looked originally!!

Good work Craig! My dad drove for Green Line out of Staines back in the 80's - I wonder if he ever drove that actual one!He also used to drive the Heathrow-Gatwick express - 747 Jetlink it was called IIRC.

Love the Leyland bus, in particular that you went above and beyond the call of duty and obtained a few interior shots!

I'd have gone up the steps too but the driver was asleep across the aisle and snoring like a goodun'!

...How did you manage to find that ? Just coincedence?

Probably not. Bus nerds are very good at record keeping so a google of the registration is all you need.

What he said... There's absolutely LOADS of people have scanned in old slides, photo prints etc to Fotopic online galleries. A bit more research would no doubt tell me that Green Line had 10 or 20 of these things, so if it wasn't possible to find a photo of that exact bus - then surely a similar vehicle from the WPH-Y series would be out there in cyberspace.Just noticed, incidentally, that the Green Line vehicle is missing a big chunk of the front bumper... I'd like to think that you couldn't get away with that today...
