Hi All,

 

Does anyone know of an injector-cleaning fuel additive that actually works, or am I just being a lazy fecker who should replace a partially clogged injector??

That 'Forte' stuff is pretty good, I have that on authority from some engineers at Perkins who tried it on an endurance test engine and were well impressed.

Forte Gas treatment works, but is no mirracle cure, but seems to be more effective than the rest.

Yup, Forte or Wurth. Expensive but works.

Another vote for Forte here. A bottle each of Gas Treatment and Fuel Injector cleaner through the Avensis keeps the engine light (failing cats) off long enough for the MOT man to give it a clean bill of health each year.

But, if you're a proper mingebag, larger Tescos sometimes have Redex for a couple of quid less than motor factors...

A bit belated, but thanks to all who recommended Forte Injector Cleaner...a bottle of aforementioned jollop and a 70 mile blat down the M3 has worked wonders, it feels like a different car
