If they are 114.3 then some Hyundai wheels should also fit - perhaps a set from a Hyundai Coupe as they are FWD.

I was thinking proton as they look similar to original spec, will find out for definate this weekend as i feel the need for a little playing about now.

I think Minilites would look good on it, with a bit of dish and a lower profile tyre. I think you're going to have to lower it a bit as well though, otherwise you're going to have a rim/height mismatch.

NO NO NO NO NO!

Not only completely RONG for the car, but also exactly what garbaldy doesn't want to do! As stated in his opening post, I believe...

Now then chaps any ideas what wheels would suit this little japanese jem

I dont want no blingin 20 inch chavtastic wheels or any off this hit with a stick malarky and tyres stretched to within an inch of there lifes  i just want it to look nice and have a little more grip as the tiny tyres are a bit on the wobbly side.

These colts are a bit of a swine to fit wheels to as the hubs are bolted on in between the wheel bolt holes, so if the new wheels are flat between the holes they don't bolt up correctly... you'd have to make up some spacers and then it pokes the wheels outside the arches.

I have some 5.5x14 cosmic mk2s that need a refurb, but they're the correct 4x114.3 pcd

On the other hand, I really like the steels fitted to some Carismas, they're a nice pressed design with a little bit of dish :)

Yes correct this car is just a weekend toy for a quick blat about when im bored. i have other cars that can be souped up and messed about with

i just want it to feel a bit more capable on the road instead of the 135 13 tyre feel.

They need a damn good refurb, but i'd like £80 for them. No tyres, I imagine you'd need a 165 60 14 or similar to keep the rolling radius somewhere near the same..

If you're interested I'll try and hunt them out, as I have absolutely no idea where they actually are!!!
